Background

Pax TV (often referred to as simply PAX) was founded in 1998 by Bud Paxson, and began broadcasting on August 31 that year. The network focused primarily on family-oriented entertainment programming, described by Paxson as an alternative to most other broadcasters at the time. Between September 1999 and November 2003, NBC owned a 32% stake in Pax's parent company Paxson Communications. Due to low viewership performances and an increasing lack of original programming however, Paxson decided to rebrand Pax TV as i: Independent Television on July 1, 2005.

1st Logo (August 31, 1998-2002)

Technique: CGI and live action.

Audio: A proud theme, sometimes with an announcer saying "You're watching PAX TV. A friend of the family" or "You're watching PAX TV. Share it with someone you love."

2nd Logo (1999-2004)

Logo: The PAX logo forms on a black background with red, white and blue lines and copies of the PAX logo and the slogan "share the wonder", which appears below the logo.

Audio: Music with a announcer saying "PAX. Share the wonder."

3rd Logo (2001-2004)
