Visuals: On a dark blue-dodger blue radial gradient background is the globe in a shiny format, reflecting two wide copies of it in the background and light streaks on the bottom. "PW" in white is over the globe whereas "PETER WILLIAMS TELEVISION" in a stacked format is to the right of it. The logo is on the top section of the screen and the radial gradient is centred on the top left section.

Variant:

  • At the end of programmes, a copyright stamp is added to the bottom of the screen.
  • An animated variant exists, where the logo shines from left to right.
  • Sometimes, the logo appears in a horizontal box and shares the screen with other logos (including the 1997 BBC and 2004 ITV Meridian logos).

Technique: This is either a still, computerized graphic or animated with 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the programme or none.

Availability:

  • The logo made its earliest appearances on Doodlebug Summer and Aspinall's Animals.
  • It is also later seen on reprints of Nightmail II (plastering the 1982 A TVS Production for Channel 4 endcap), Love and War, and Wellington Bomber.
