Background

Screenwest is a film and television funding organization in Western Australia. They receive their funding from Lotterywest, which is owned by the Government of Western Australia.

1st Logo (February 2, 2001-December 31, 2003)

Visuals: There is a dark steel blue curve ending with a gold ball in the centre with a shine on its left centre side. Underneath the symbol, there is "screenwest" on top of "western australian film and television".

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or film.

Availability: It appears at the end of John Callahan's Quads, Let's Get Skase, and Japanese Story.

2nd Logo (June 19, 2007-December 26, 2016)

Visuals: There is a blue dotted, spiky sun symbol with an orange orb in the centre containing a centred white glow and smaller dots of said colour in between the spikes. Underneath the logo, there is "ScreenWest" in a hand written font.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: The closing theme of the show or film.

Availability: The logo is seen at the end of Lockie Leonard, Dogstar, Waabiny Time, among other films and movies. It made its last appearance on Red Dog: True Blue.

3rd Logo (January 26-December 26, 2016)

Visuals: On a black background, there are multiple dodger blue tiles and orange dots flying out while the camera rotates angles. The objects form the sun symbol from before. After the centre orb shines, "ScreenWest" wipes in from left to right.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None.

Availability: It only appears on Looking for Grace and Red Dog: True Blue.

4th Logo (March 2, 2017-)

Visuals: The screen pans across a dark room with small, horizontal rectangular light holes peaking out. Multiple, warm coloured rectangular light paths are seen scrolling to the far end of the room, aligning with a white horizontal rectangular box as the camera changes angle to get a front view of the latter object. When combined, they form a stylised, wavy "S" in between a dark grey, red bordered box containing "screenwest" in white. At that point, the background has faded to black.

VariantS:

• Sometimes, the print logos for The Government of Western Australia and LotteryWest fade in next to the ScreenWest logo alongside the latter's website URL on the bottom.
• On Go Karts, the logo has a VHS filter applied.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the film.

Availability: It made its first appearance on Jasper Jones and later appeared on Hounds of Love and Blueback. The version with the Government of Western Australia and LotteryWest logos is shown on 1% and Go Karts.

5th Logo (March 2, 2017-)
