Background

This is the vanity card of Steve Krantz. It was originally known as Krantz Films and started off making theatrical films, before its shift to making telemovies. It did not use a logo until 1989, rather an in-credit text was used.

1st Logo (1989-1992)

Visuals: On a black background, there is an abstract blue "K" made with two right-angled triangles and two parallelograms. Below it is "STEVE KRANTZ PRODUCTIONS" in white. The "K" shines a few times.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" is seen below the logo.
  • Filmed and videotaped variants of this logo exist.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: The closing theme of the movie/show.

Availability: Seen at the end of TV movies on Lifetime.

  • Last seen at the end of Torch Song, followed by the Multimedia Motion Pictures logo (a Polish airing of Torch Song had the bylineless 1991 Universal Pictures logo).
  • It is also seen at the end of a PAL DVD release of Shattered Promises (aka Deadly Matrimony) (1992), which is then followed by the 1999 Carlton International logo.

2nd Logo (1992-1995)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a wireframe structure of a large "SK". Then, a solid "SK" fades in there (with its background changing once in a while), alongside "STEVE KRANTZ" and "PRODUCTIONS" above and below each other, respectively. The entire thing then fades out.

Variant: A filmed variant exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: The closing theme of the movie/show. CBS airings used a generic theme starting in 1994.

Availability: Seen at the end of TV movies produced by Steve Krantz.
