Trifecta Entertainment & Media is a prominent American syndication and distribution company formed in 2006 by two former executives of MGM Television. It primarily serves as a distribution company and also handles advertising sales in exchange for syndication deals with local television stations, cable outlets, and digital media; it also produces and/or distributes television shows such as Whacked Out Sports and Dish Nation and made-for-TV and direct-to-video movies.
Trifecta also distributes movies, including those before 1928 and after 1949 from Paramount Pictures (as well as the Republic Pictures library, including the releases of Taft Entertainment Pictures), films from Screen Media Ventures, pre-2010 films from DreamWorks Pictures, pre-2013 films from DreamWorks Animation under license from Universal Pictures and NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, films from Cannon Films, Epic Productions, 21st Century Film Corporation and Nelson Entertainment under license from Amazon MGM Studios, the Rysher Entertainment film library including titles from Bing Crosby Productions, the Miramax Films library including pre-2005 Dimension Films releases, the CBS Films library including titles from Cinema Center Films and CBS Theatrical Films, American television rights to films from the Lionsgate Films library including all of Lionsgate's predecessors and acquisitions, and the Carolco Pictures library under license from StudioCanal (with the exception of Cliffhanger, which is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in countries where TriStar Pictures distributed the film, including the US and France, as a result of Carolco providing half of the film's budget to TriStar in exchange for complete distribution rights in such countries).
Trifecta has offices in Los Angeles, California and New York City, New York.
Visuals: On a black background, three shiny powder blue lines come together and form an outline of a powder blue right triangle. After the triangle forms, it suddenly fills with powder blue, then moves upward to the right and the word "TRIFECTA" appears, with the "T" inside the triangle and "ENTERTAINMENT & MEDIA" in powder blue under "FECTA". A shine moves right across the triangle and text, after which the word "TRIFECTA" flashes and gains a shiny metallic texture. A reflection of the logo fades in after that.
