Background

Dorling Kindersley Vision was a media division of the Dorling Kindersley publishing company, founded in 1991. They were known for producing educational TV shows and videos including Eyewitness, Amazing Animals, Dig & Dug with Daisy and See How They Grow.

1st Logo (1990's)

Visuals: On a white background, the camera pans down to a CGI book. The words “DORLING KINDERSLEY Vision" in grey fade in underneath while one of the pages of the book flips. When the page finishes turning, there are the letters "DK" in gold.

Variants:

  • This logo sometimes appeared as a still image after the end credits.
  • A closing variant exists, where the animation is reversed with the label name omitted.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Two notes that sound like bells followed by some descending chimes, ending with a single flute note.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, the ending theme plays over the logo, or it is silent.
  • The closing variant has the same music without the flute note.

Availability: It can be seen on home video releases of Eyewitness, Dig & Dug with Daisy and See How They Grow.

2nd Logo (April 16, 1996-1999)

Visuals: On a white background is the print version of the Dorling Kindersley logo with the letters "DK" in red, along with the Partridge Films logo underneath it.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: It was used exclusively after the end credits of Amazing Animals. Any Henry's Amazing Animals VHS tapes released during the show's run on the Disney Channel retain this logo.
