Background

Granada Film Ltd. was a production subsidiary of Granada Media that closed in 2006, after the release of The Queen.

1st (known) Logo (1990's-Early 2000's)

Logo: TBA.

Variants: The ending credits of Rogue Trader use the print logo.

FX/SFX: The Granada symbol rotating.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Rare. Kept on the original DVD release of Essex Boys, while the regular Granada TV logo appears in the closing credits.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (Early 2000's)

Logo: On a purple background, we see the silver word "GRANADA" in a custom 3D semi-serif font zooming in. It settles in the center of the screen and becomes flat, as a light spot travels through it.

Variants: Sometimes the background is blue, while the company name might be white or green. A still variant also exists, seen on some prints of Poirot.

FX/SFX: The words zooming and the streak.

Music/Sounds: TBA.

Availability: Rare, appeared as a home entertainment banner on DVD releases, such as The Forsyte Saga and The Attic. It was also used on a Russian DVD boxset of Poirot before the Carmen Video logo and after each episode. It also plastered older Granada logos (and the LWT logo) on Cold Feet, Poirot and other shows, both on DVD releases and local broadcasting stations, and appeared on the movies Ghost World and The Gathering.

Editor's Note: None.

3rd Logo (October 6, 2006)

Logo: On a black background, we see the words "A" and "PRODUCTION" with a space between them. A light blue stamp consisting of "GRANADA" in a chipped box then zooms out and settles in the space.

FX/SFX: The zooming.

Music/Sounds: A clang.

Availability: Only appears on The Queen.

Editor's Note: None.
