1st Logo (August 29, 2003-May 1, 2005)

Visuals: "hopscotch films", in a thin tall font, is shown with a pebble lying down and with its shadow facing the lower left. The latter object is seen entering the screen from the left.

Variants:

  • There are both horizontal and vertically aligned variants.
  • There is a still version.
  • On Wise Guys, the logo is shown within a white strip.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme of the programme.

Availability: The logo is seen on WireBurners, Wise Guys, and On the Road with Kiarostami.

2nd Logo (November 30, 2011-April 18, 2017)

Visuals: The logo follows the same format as before, except the text is bolder and the pebble is different; it is shown with a dark texture, in a front view, and shadow facing the upper left.

Variants:

  • There is a still version.
  • On Close to the Bone, the logo is in solid black.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None or the closing theme of the programme.

Availability: The logo is seen on The School of Scottish Studies, Dream Me Up Scotty!, Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise, among others.

3rd Logo (September 30, 2017-)

Visuals: On a black background, a pebble bounces twice from the top left, creating two large sets of ripples that unveil "HOPSCOTCH FILMS", in a rounded font and left-aligned stacked format. The second ripple, specifically those surrounding the pebble, is left intact.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: Two ascending pop sound effects, alongside a reversed cinematic whoosh sound effect, ending with echoed deep noise. Otherwise, the closing theme of the programme.

Availability: The logo is first seen on Stop All the Clocks: WH Auden in an Age of Anxiety and later appeared on The Story of Film: A New Generation.
