Background

IDTV International is a company currently owned by All3Media. The company is known for the U.S. version of Lingo.

IDTV

(1996?-?)

ID&DTV Nederland

IDTV International

(2002-2004)

Logo: On a black background, we see the words "IDTV" in blue letters with water waves waving. The letters then stop waving as the words "INTERNATIONAL" and a white line draws, causing the water waves to disappear, leaving a grey color.

Variant: On the 1999 Dutch Lingo PC game, the logo is zoomed out. Once the white line starts to appear, the logo zooms out more and shifts upward. A longer version is also used where it turns on like a TV set and the blue waves reveal the "IDTV" text.

FX/SFX: The waves, letters, and white lines. Good effects for their time.

Music/Sounds: A synth choir, along with the sounds of waves crashing and birds chirping. The music version is extinct because of GSN's credit crunching.

Availability: Rare. Can be found on 2002-2004 episodes of Lingo on GSN with Chuck Woolery and Stacey Hayes. It can also be found on the 1999 Dutch Lingo PC game.
