Background

Island World Productions was formed on March 20, 1990, by Tony Garnett, which was then renamed to World Productions in 1994.

(September 4, 1992-June 2, 1994)

Logo: On a blue-black gradient background, there is a thick path with a map texture consisting of the merged letters "iw". The "i"'s dot is a moving gray globe. Underneath is "AN" with a red line going through it, "ISLAND WORLD", and "PRODUCTION" with a blue bar through it. Also underneath is a channel's name and the copyright notice.

Variant: On Between the Lines, the logo is inside a box and only "ISLAND WORLD" is the only text present.

Technique: The globe spinning.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the programme.

Availability: Rare. It can be seen on series 1 and 2 of Between the Lines, Never Rest, which has this logo intact on a VHS release, and series 1 of Cardiac Arrest.
