Visuals: Just the NET print logo with the words "INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE MAGAZINE" underneath it. It then zooms out to the top right corner.

Technique: Camera-controlled animation.

Audio: The opening theme to the show.

Availability: This can be found on early episodes of Spectrum.


NET Science

1st Logo (1966)


Visuals: On a black background, the word "NET" in yellow appears letter-by-letter. The words "SCIENCE" and "presents...}}" slide in below "NET".

Closing Variant: The words "A presentation of" are on the screen. The words "NET SCIENCE" appear below it in the same way as the regular variant.

Technique: Camera-controlled animation.

Audio:

  • Regular variant: Uses a fast paced drum beat.
  • Closing variant: A six-chord piano tune, followed by a few notes played on a flute. Towards the end you can hear a drum beat similar to the one from the regular variant.

Availability: Can be seen on Attack Patterns of Sharks.r.



2nd Logo (1966-1969)


Visuals: On a blue background, the word "NET" zooms in onto the screen, with each letter stacked on top of each other. The letters separate, making the logo more clear. The words "SCIENCE" and "PRESENTS" quickly slide in. The scene fades to a rotating white grid.

Variants:

  • A variant exists with the NET logo and "SCIENCE PRESENTS" in orange and the background in black.
  • A black and white variant also exists.

Technique: Camera-controlled animation.

Audio: A lower-pitched, extended version of the first logo's closing variant.
