1st Logo (1988)

Visuals: The logo begins with the camera panning down the vertical sign of the Radio City Music Hall (located in New York City). The sign has red neon outlining around and on the lettering as well. As the camera scrolls down the sign, lighted letters fly inside each letter of "RADIO CITY". After it scrolls down to the part where it says "MUSIC HALL" in a stylized font, it then fades to the whole exterior of the building with the vertical sign on top of the horizontal marquee sign reading "RADIO CITY" and "MUSIC HALL" nearby that. All of it is in the same style as the previous sign. Around that is blue neon outlining and below the second neon lining is "PRODUCTIONS" in yellow and blue outlining below that. The signs are attached to the building. On the left are three buildings with lighted windows and a nighttime background setting.

Variant: On Super Bowl Halftime Shows, the "PRESENTS" is in the place of "PRODUCTIONS", and the camera moves to the front doors, in which they open up to transition to the show.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The closing theme to the program.

Audio Variants:

  • On Super Bowl Halftime Shows, the opening theme to the halftime show and some cheering are heard, with an announcer saying:
    • 1988: "Ladies and gentlemen, there's no place of a nation. Radio City Music Hall proudly presents the celebration for 1988. Something grand!"
    • 1993: "Ladies and gentlemen, Radio City Music Hall Productions and the National Football League proudly present an unprecedented Super Bowl Spectacular, starring Michael Jackson!"
    • 1996: "Radio City Productions and the National Football League proudly celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Super Bowl!"

2nd Logo (November 23, 1990)
