Background

La Corriente del Golfo is a Mexican in-house production company, founded in 2018 by Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, currently focusing on cinema, series and podcasts.

1st Logo (June 28, 2019)

Visuals: On a black background, a wave of gray-blue and gray-magenta streaks form together an infinity symbol in which then modifies by making it to an abstract "g" in half-colors. Beneath it is "La Corriente del Golfo" fading in both colors.

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: An odd, echoed string chime.

Availability: Shown on Chicuarotes.

2nd Logo (June 3, 2020-)

Visuals: On a black background, one half of a gray-blue surface with wavy edges rises while clockwise-rotating, in which an arch with a round edge rises in, then splits up from the surface, leaving out drops of said color. The arch then extends further to form a ring in which part of it then separates as a half gray-blue surface extends it's way from the right-most half of the ring, while the separated part goes through the surface that leaves out a small portion of the split ring peeking from the inner. The surface finally separates from the latter as a geometrical half "C" wipes next to the other half. "La Corriente del Golfo" arise individually, where the first row is arranged from left-right, while the second is in right-left while the screen zooms out.

Variant: A still version features the completed logo adjusted in a small size.

Technique: Flash animation.

Audio: None. On some cases, the opening/closing theme is heard.

Availability: Likely to appear on later episodes of Aquí en la Tierra, the documentary series El Tema, La Máquina and on films such as Cassandro.
