Background

Sadia S.A. is a Brazilian food producer founded in 1944 in Concórdia, Santa Catarina (the same place where the company is headquartered). The company is Brazil's main exporter of meat-based products and it is among the world's leading producers of frozen foods. Since 2009, the company is now a subsidiary of BRF S.A. The company's signature jingle is a 10-note melody (G, C, E, F, E, C, G, A, C, C) whereas Qualy's signature jingle is a 9-note melody (D, Eb, E, F, G, F#, F, D, Bb).

1st Tag (March 1993-1996)

Visuals: Superimposed on a sky background with mountains and green hills, the company name scrolls from the bottom outsiding the background until it reaches the top of the screen.

Later Variant: Starting in 1994, the ID is preceded by a tag (on a grey background with five light trails that slide each in an opposite way, the company name in red zooms in until the trails fade away from the background; it then freezes for a bit and then cuts to the ID).

Audio: Every version (the "Sadia 50 anos" version has the commercial song "Without Love" finish over it) starts with an upwards piano glissando which segues into a 5-note piano melody starting off under a solemn piano track. The audio is accompanied by a voiceover (Gutemberg Ramos) saying the slogan of each version (see the Logo Variations page for this); on Christmas Day 1993, the voiceover says "A Sadia deseja a todos, um Feliz Natal." (slogan this that functions as a message for Sadia to wish anyone a "Merry Christmas"). The tag in the later version has the 1989 "Presented by" audio of Jornal Nacional play over it.

Early Audio Variant: A prototype version of the music exists in the logo's first days of use: a vibraphone note follows the piano melody above followed by a harp glissando building-up to a different 4-note orchestral melody playing under the same solemn piano track continuing from the above. The same voiceover (Gutemberg Ramos) says "Sadia. Compromisso com a qualidade do consumidor, ontem, hoje, e sempre."

Availability: Used as a sponsorship bumper on Jornal Nacional from March 1993 to 1996.

2nd Tag (January 1, 2001-March 31, 2015)

Visuals: A short version of any commercial from the time is seen. At the end of every version, the Sadia logo is seen at any position of the screen and Lequetreque appears at any position associated with the product the commercial is advertised for.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: The music for each commercial is composed by Shuki Levy. Every version has a voiceover (Gutemberg Ramos) saying the slogan of the product the commercial is advertised for (usually followed by "Da Sadia.").

Availability: Used as a sponsorship bumper on the 7pm telenovelas from Rede Globo: the last 18 chapters of Uga Uga, all of Um Anjo Caiu do Céu, and further telenovelas starting with the first chapter of As Filhas da Mãe up until the last chapter of Geração Brasil. It also made its last appearance in some chapters of Alto Astral.
