Background

KAET is a PBS affiliate located in Phoenix, Arizona. The "AET" part of the name is meant to be pronounced as "Eight", which later became the network's branding name.

Logo: Against a dull brown marble background, we see "KAET" in a giant gold typewriter font. Below that is "PHOENIX", in a much smaller font, but the same type, and above that is "A special presentation from", in the same font, even smaller, and italicized.

Availability: Some old Arizona Collection series tapes from KAET may have it.


3rd Logo (1988-1990)

Logo: On a black background, we see colored lines wiping in from left to right and then again, it then moves and then crashes into a 5 segment colored lines. The "8" and "KAET P H O E N I X" appears below.

Technique: The lines wiping and crashing.

Audio: A piano-sounding tune.

Availability: Used as a local ID.


4th Logo (1995-2004)

Logo: Against a maroon background with several gold "waves", a maroon rectangle with the PBS logo and "ei8ht" written on it in gold, turns into place. "A special presentation from" is written above.
