KLVX (known on-air as Vegas PBS since 2006) is a PBS affiliate located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Visuals: A "10" cut-out from a black rectangle with "KLVX" positioned into the "1" and the 1984 PBS logo underneath is seen on a photograph presumably taken around the natural areas surrounding Las Vegas.
Technique: A still picture.
Audio: A continuity announcer.
Availability: It was spotted on 1986 airings of Drinking and Driving: The Toll, The Tears and Mark Russell Comedy Special.
Visuals: The screen cuts to a silhouetted shot of Las Vegas' famous casino skyline, similar to the silhouetted mountain shots in KSPS' 1980's logo. Below it, there is the text "A Production of KLVX • Las Vegas", and to the bottom-right is a "10" in a white square with "KLVX" below. The text "Post Production at" fades next to the logo, then fades out as the logo shines.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: A synth flute jingle.
Availability: When the original UK version of Antiques Roadshow (particularly from the Hugh Scully era) is rerun on PBS, this logo can be seen at the end.
Visuals: On an orange background, there is the text "KLVX". The text "A Production of KLVX Nevada" zooms in below, then the URL fades in.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: An orchestral tune, which is stock music from the APM Music library, composed by Gregor Narholz.
Availability: Seen at the end of KLVX programming from the time.
Visuals: The words "a production of" wipe in by a yellow light over a black background before fading out. The PBS emblem, in 3D and with a pink border, is seen off-center while a reddish "Vegas" script writes in on top. A white outline then appears, giving it a neon effect, then disappears after two seconds; this cycle repeats a few times. The copyright mark with the year appears near the bottom-right.
Variants:
Technique: 2D CGI.
Audio: The snippet of the closing theme at the start of the logo, followed by an acapella tune (titled "Give Ten for Ten") and a buzzing noise when the "Vegas" script lights up. Sometimes, either only the buzzing noise or the closing theme plays.
Availability: Seen at the end of Vegas PBS programming from the time. It also sometimes appeared as a station ident.
Visuals: The camera pans past a silhouette of two cliffs and a goat standing on the left one, then down to reveal the Las Vegas skyline under a sundown sky. The Vegas PBS logo is seen under the skyline, and "Presented by" appears above it.
Variants:
Technique: CGI.
Audio: An outro from a stock pop-rock soundtrack piece.
Audio Variant: On Nevada Week, the closing theme plays over the original soundtrack.
Availability: Unknown. [Examples?]
