1st Logo (1980-1982)

Logo: Against a black background, eight yellow dots appear, then turn white as they zoom out. "KSPSTV" writes itself around the dots in a stylized font, and a bigger white dot appears just before the T appears. Once "KSPSTV" finishes writing itself, the big white dot turns on its axis, and "TV" disappears, with "7" appearing in its place. "KSPS7" then turns light blue with a dark blue outline as sparkles move horizontally from left to right. The text "SPOKANE PUBLIC TELEVISION" wipes itself in, with "SPOKANE" and "PUBLIC TELEVISION" above and below "KSPS7" respectively. Finally, "KSPS7" flashes and changes to yellow with a red outline.

FX/SFX: The dots, "KSPSTV" writing itself in, the sparkles, the text wiping in, and the flashing.

Music/Sounds: A whimsical synthesized bell, flute, and piano tune. It becomes very saturated over time.

Availability: Extinct. Seen on Life with St. Helens.

2nd Logo (1982-1991)

Logo: Over a computerized background of a lake and mountains at dusk, the KSPS logo of the time, consisting of "KSPS-TV" in a thin font (the "V" looks very curvy) next to a very large "7" (the channel number) with the PBS "Split Profile" logo at the top of the number, flies into the screen, passing the mountains, first on its side, then turning into place. When it settles in, "SPOKANE" wipes in along the bottom.

Variant: Prior to 1984, the logo animated as normal, but the "7" had the "Tri-Colored Everyman" PBS logo on it.

FX/SFX: The logo flipping in, "SPOKANE" wiping in.

Music/Sounds: A sound of wind blowing as the logo flies in, followed by a couple of drumbeats, a small chime when "Spokane" wipes in, then another sound of wind blowing. The piano chime was sourced from the 1975 Manheim Steamroller album FreshAire, specifically from the track "Interlude I," and accentuated with the blowing wind.

Availability: Extremely rare/probably extinct. Was seen on Sit and Be Fit at the time.

3rd Logo (1991-1998)

Logo: On a black background, a deep pink "7" with a dot of the same color over it, which looks like a human exercising, spreads out to the left, revealing a pink version of the logo, while a lighter pink version moves to the right. "KSPS-TV", in a Times New Roman-esque font, flips in, and so does "SPOKANE" below it, in the same font. A white light passes diagonally upward through the logo.

FX/SFX: The "7"s spreading out, the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized orchestra fanfare.

Availability: Extremely rare. Seen on Sit and Be Fit episodes from this era.

4th Logo (1998-2002)

Logo: On a shining beige background, we see a red rounded rectangle that contains: the "KSPS" word in a white CG Omega font, and the 1998 PBS P-head symbol on the right. The word "SPOKANE" in the same font fades in.

FX/SFX: The fading.

Music/Sounds: None, or an announcer saying "The following program is a production of KSPS Public Television and it's made possible by Friends of Seven."

Availability: Seen at the beginning of KSPS documentaries.
