1st (known) Logo (1982-2000s?)

Visuals: Fading into a helicopter pan shot of the Kansas State Capitol and the surrounding area, the text "KTWU" in a custom font, with "A Presentation of" and "Topeka, Kansas" in a Cooper-like font, all colored in blue, flips in towards the screen. The text is surrounded in a white outline.

Variants:

  • A short version exists, which just has the logo still.
  • An early version has the logo in black, a older version of the panning shot, and no other text is seen. "presents" in a red typewriter font types out below it. This variant was used from 1982 to 1986.
  • A early local variant has a tan background with a Picasso-esque drawing of a woman in a gray shirt on the left and KTWU's logo with a black TV tube shape with an italicized "11" in it to the right. Underneath the logo is "TOPEKA, KS" and the logo for translator station K30AL, with "IOLA/MORAN" below it, along with "WASHBURN UNIVERSITY".

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: A country hoedown tune. The local, short, and early version are silent, though the local variant has a voice-over saying "Programs to entertain, to enlighten, to enrich. They're yours on KTWU 11, Topeka, Kansas, public television from Washburn University serving southeast Kansas on channel 30, Iola/Moran."

Availability: Seen on Goat Gland Doctor. The early version was seen on Scatband.

2nd (known) Logo (2000s-)

Visuals: On a CGI background of a plains field at daytime is the same logo from before, but horizontally, and colored blue. It zooms out, and "Presents" fades in below.

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: An acoustic guitar tune.

Availability: Seen as a program opener for shows (mostly local) produced by the channel, like I've Got Issues.
