1st ID (1980-2001?)

Visuals: There's two versions:

  • 1980-1986(?): Fading into a helicopter pan shot of the Kansas State Capitol and the surrounding area, the black word "KTWU" in a custom font flips in towards the screen, and as it stops and faces the screen, the red-violet word "presents" appears letter-by-letter.
  • 1986(?)-2001(?): With an another different shot of the Kansas State Capitol and the surrounding area, the text "KTWU" in a custom font, with the text "A Presentation of" above and "Topeka, Kansas" below, all now colored in blue, flip in towards the screen like the first version.

Variants:

  • 1980:
    • A longer variant of the first version exists, which has an extra 6-second pan shot in the background at the beginning.
  • 1986
    • A longer variant exists where there's an extra 5-seconds pan shot in the background at the end
    • A short variant of the second version exists, which has the text being still while the pan shot in the background is still being played.

Technique: Live-action for the background, and computer animation for the text.

Audio: Silent for the 1980 version, and a country hoedown tune for the 1986 one.

Audio Variant: Both of the three variants are silent.

Availability: The first one is seen on programs such as Tornado: Another Look, Not for Chowderheads and Scatband, and the second one is seen on Goat Gland Doctor and Carnival Of Souls.

2nd ID (1982)

Visuals: On a purple background with a white grid on, the word "KTWU" rotates in, and as it's rotating, the word "presents" appears letter-by-letter. Both words are white.

Technique: Computer animation. Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on Remembering Harry S. Truman.

3rd ID (1997)

Visuals: On a purple background with a dark shade on the top left and shapes moving around, including

  • some gold squares moving down in a vertical line at the left
  • some red circles moving in a horizontal line to the right
  • some purple thin rectangles moves in a circular line
  • some blue triangles moves down in a diagonal line across the screen behind

the word "KTWU" and a rounded-edge rectangle at the left which has the station's "11" in it, flies in and then rotates themself to face the screen, with both being gold and CGI.

Technique: 3D animation.

Audio: Just the announcer saying: "This has been a presentation of KTWU, Channel 11, Topeka, Kansas.

Availability: Seen on Green Pastures: Filipinos in the Heartland.

4th ID (2000s-2010?)

Visuals: On a live-action background of a plains field at daytime, a blue beveled rectangle which contains the white "KTWU" logo and a white round rectangle containing the station's "11" in blue, flies in with a wavy effect on it and a shadow behind it, as well as rotates itself to face the screen. It then zooms out, while the word "Presents" fades in with a lighter shade of blue on it.

Variant:

  • In the 2004 version, the rectangle's blue shade is darker, the wavy effect on it is removed, and the text "Presents" is changed to the gold word "Topeka".
  • In 2008, while the animation is the same as the 2004 one, the background changed to a field which has a lot of trees on it, and the word "Topeka" also changed into the white text "Presents".

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: A dramatic and energetic tune.

Availability: Seen as a program opener for shows (mostly local) produced by the channel, like Evolution, Education & Ecology, Black, White and Brown and Kansas You Should Know: Plains People: Elthera Voth.

5th ID (2007)

Visuals: As the background sildes down which has a live-action plains field with bushes and a narrow road on it, the same blue beveled rectangle in the last logo zooms in, and the orange text "Topeka" fades in below when it stops.

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: A calm 4-note chime tune.

Availability: Seen on Beyond Theology.

6th ID (2010-2014, 2017)

The word "Presents" then rotates itself letter-by-letter below.

Technique: Live-action and computer animation.

Audio: A calm synth tune with a 3-note piano tune's being heard in it.

Availability: Seen on shows made by KTWU like Plains People, Sunflower Journeys, and Wood, Brick & Stone in 2017.
