Revision as of 15:24, 2 January 2024

1st ID (1997-2000)

Visuals: On a green background, the text "A PRODUCTION OF" fades in. Then, the text "KUSM Bozeman" zooms in.

Technique: The logo zooming in. [possible misuse]

Audio: A horn/violin tune.

Availability: Seen on KUSM documentaries, followed by the 1994 American Program Services Boston logo.

2nd ID (2004-2007)

Visuals: The camera flies over a town square in Bozeman, Montana, with "KUSM" in red-orange, sliding up, over "BOZEMAN". The logo is in the bottom-left corner.

Technique: All live-action, save for the logo sliding up.

Audio: A quiet piano jingle that sounds eerily similar to the music in KUED's logo.

Availability: On episodes of Painting Wild Places, at least.

3rd ID (2007-June 3, 2010)

Visuals: In the background, there is a dark globe shining all over. In front of that is "KUSM" in a futuristic font zooming in, over a small circle P-head PBS logo and "Montana PBS" in a black rectangle. "A Presentation Of..." can be seen over "KUSM".

Technique: The globe shining and text zooming. [possible misuse]

Audio: A futuristic synthesizer jingle.

Availability: To see this logo, watch any new episode of Painting Wild Places on select PBS stations (if your station can carry that show, that is).

Legacy: Some can get crept out by the darkness and music, but it shouldn't creep everyone out. [possible misuse]
