Background

WMFE is a PBS affiliate in Orlando, Florida.

1st Logo (1984-1990)

Visuals: Over a black background sits a "24" with a white chevron surrounding part of it, flashes in. This is followed by the text "WMFE-TV", and the word "Orlando" in an gold tint, all flashing in sync with the music. A flash then fades out entire logo behind it, and reveals the word "presents" in an orange tint.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Three trumpet stabs punctuate the text flashing in, leading into a funky piano theme featuring Latin-style percussion, a synth chord, and an electric bassline.

2nd Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a dark blue background logo, there is a giant gray box with "24" inside it, and a smaller gray box with "WMFE" inside fading in.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: Just the end theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Terry Madden's Watercolor Workshop.
