WUSF-TV

1st (known) Logo (1970's-1988)

Logo: On a black background, the text "{{color|darkviolet|wusf-tv", in a weird purple font, slowly moves to the bottom of the screen, leaving a trail behind it and lightening in color until it becomes lavender. When it stops, "FROM" and "TAMPA/ST. PETERSBURG" both fade in above and below the logo respectively.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Music/Sounds: An 8-note synth-chime tune, with an announcer saying "The following is a WUSF-TV production."

Availability: Local shows would most likely have this logo. The availability for national shows, though, is unknown.

2nd Logo (2000-June 4, 2004)

Logo: On a black background, some glassy blue shapes rotate into view and form the number "16". When it's done, the text "WUSFTV" fades in below along with "Tampa - St. Petersburg". The logo finally shines.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A piano note, followed by a 4-note synth flute tune.

Availability: Rare. Found at the end of local produced shows on WUSF-TV.

3rd Logo (June 4, 2004-October 15, 2017)

Logo: On a dark gray background, we see the text "this has been a" at the top of the screen and "production" at the bottom. The WUSF logo (various yellow ovals and "WUSF" next to them) zooms out and settles between them. When it does so, the whole screen flashes green.

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A piano tune.

Availability: Common. Found at the end of news and current affairs shows on WUSF-TV.
