Background

Blue Ridge PBS is a PBS affiliate serving southwestern Virginia. Its headquarters are located in Roanoke, Virginia, where its flagship station WBRA is located.

1st Logo (2012)

Logo: On a camera footage of a plane flying in the clouds, we see "BLUE RIDGE" in a blue italic font. Next to it is the PBS logo in blue.

Variant: An in-credit variant exists. On a chalkboard background with some equations, a ruler and an apple, we see "WHAT IT TAKES..." above in a chalk font. Below is the logo in white, and the copyright.

FX/SFX: The camera footage

Music/Sounds: None or the end-title theme of the show.

Availability: Extinct. Seen on What It Takes....

2nd Logo (2012-2018)

Logo: On a blue background, we see blue streaks move. In front of the streaks, there's the text "This program is presented by". Below it are the stacked words "Blue Ridge" on the left, and the PBS Circle P-Head logo, along with "PBS", on the right. The whole text (plus the P-Head) is in white and zooms slowly.

FX/SFX: The zooming.

Music/Sounds: A synth xylophone theme plays under a female announcer saying "This program is presented by Blue Ridge PBS."

Availability: Rare.

3rd Logo (April 10, 2018- )


Logo: On a white background, we see "This has been a presentation of" and the Blue Ridge PBS logo below it.

FX/SFX: None, unless you count the fade-in and fade-out.

Music/Sounds: A horn tune.

Availability: Current. Can be seen on Beyond Your Backyard.
