Background

TV2 (formerly Rangkaian Kedua and RTM2) is the secondary channel of Malaysia's state-run broadcasting company, Radio Televisyen Malaysia. It was launched on November 17, 1969.

1st Logo (January 1, 2009-2011)


Logo: TBA

Technique: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds:

  • The main ident uses an electronic tune with a group of people (depending on their gender) singing "Tivi Dua... Dunia Ria... Tivi Dua!":
    • A group of men may sing the line.
    • A group of women may also sing the line, with the cymbal and piano sounds being omitted.
  • The other ident uses an electronic tune.

2nd Logo (2011-2013)

Music/Sounds: Same as the first logo of TV2 (second era), but shortened.

3rd Logo (February 2013-December 31, 2016)


Logo: Against a white background, we see 27 orange cubes joined together, which would split. We then cut to see multiple cubes forming a sphere. Halfway through, we cut to the TV2 logo coming into the screen while spinning, along with the slogan, Dunia Ria. The logo and the slogan then shine.

Technique: 3D CGI.

Music/Sounds: An electronic tune ending with a five-note piano tune.

4th Logo (January 1, 2017-2018)
